Provenance - an example definition is "the fact of coming from some particular place or quarter"  In other words the history of an image should be traceable to its origin.

With current technology it is easy to manipulate digital images on just about any computer, so stored images need to be authenticated before they are usable as records or evidence without risk of later dispute.

We provide image provenance in two ways:

Our authentication procedures mean not only can we show if an image allegedly taken by us has been altered, but in addition when using our own software we also know where it has changed, to individual pixel level. We achieve all of this without altering the image in any way, or adding any data to the picture.

We provide written and/or verbal authentication of our work as required, including Court appearances as expert witness if needed.
